Another Wonderful Weekend!

These first two pictures are from my anniversary. Dean just had them on his phone the last time I blogged so they didn't get put in.

Dean playing with his money.

This last weekend we had a wonderful time going down to Salt lake and attending Dean's cousin (Lauren and Scott's ) sealing at the Salt lake temple. Such a beautiful temple! Pictured below is Dean and I with Lauren. Isn't she pretty!

I have always wanted to get a picture with the Salt lake temple in the background. So this weekend I was able to accomplish this. It was a beautiful day as you could tell BLUE SKIES. I haven't seen those for awhile.

After the temple we went to the Pie Pizzaeria and it was really good! Then Dean and I were able to go visit my past roommate in Provo and her new baby Hazel! She was adorable! We had a great time catching up as roommates and then, Dean and I went to Krispy Kremes for a dessert. There were two places Dean and I said we had to go to on this trip. Krispy Kremes was one and the other was Seven 11 to get a SLURPEE. We stopped by both but the funny or I thought at the time Not so funny thing about the seven 11 was everyone we went to (three different ones total) was out of CHERRY! It is my favorite! It wasn't too funny I thought but I did have to laugh every time we stop and there wouldn't be Cherry Dean would smile and say sorry! One time he asked on a scale from one to ten how mad are you.?I said 8 hahaha. I was never really mad. Hey what can I say it is a great flavor!
So while we were in Utah my brother was staying at our apartment hanging out with friends. He was suppose to only stay till Sunday, but I convinced him to stay till today so we could hang out one last time before his mission. I was only able to see him for a few hours on Friday before we left to Utah but we made it quality time! (we went to Dairy Queen) Anyway so he stayed last night and we played games and laughed a lot. Love that kid. He will be a great missionary!

Exciting events in our life!

Well the adventures have started and I wanted to blog about them as they happen or I will have a lot to catch up on. First off Conference weekend we decided to go to Oregon and visit my family. Well currently everything there is flooding. It has been raining like crazy. Some of you may think well Duh! You are from Oregon, but I am from Eastern Oregon and it doesn't rain that much, it is like Boise Weather. So on Saturday we decided to take a drive up the the dam and see it flow over the Glory Hole (it doesn't do that very often just when the dam in full and they need to get water out of it so it doesn't flood)

This is a picture of Dean and I by the dam. bottom right you can see the jets.

This is a picture of the Owyhee Dam

This is the Glory Hole they have raised it to fill the Dam all the way up.

This is the wall of the Dam Pretty full! The other side of this wall is in the picture above some three hundred feet tall.

Looking down the Glory hole!

Again (Scary)

WELL... It is official Dean has Graduated! YAY!!! It is amazing to come home and just hangout and not have to hear Dean say sorry I can't I have homework!

Enjoy the pictures below.

Love this one! He is such a goof!

So Excited!

Isn't he cute! So Proud of him! (in a humble way)

Dean's family and I at his graduation in the Hart Building.

Dean got to graduate with one of his friends from High School Josh Gordan. So fun!

We were so grateful for the family members that were able to come and support and spend time with us! To the left is Dean's Aunt Olivia and Uncle Dean. They are the ones we will be staying with this summer. We really appreciate them!

Dean's Friend Brent was able to come and celebrate with us and we appreciate it.

Dean, his mom, and Sister

Dean was making a sad face because they don't give them their diplomas in case someone doesn't pass. So he will get it in the mail in about two months.

Graduation was Friday and Saturday April 8th and 9th. The 11th of April is our anniversary and so this fell on Monday! I don't work Mondays so Dean took the day off and we hung out. We went to Red Lobster and the movies! We weren't going to get each other anything because our trip to California was our present. However we were originally going to go to Cali this weekend but then my Brother got his mission call and if we went now we would have missed his farewell and we didn't want to do that so we moved the trip to May. So since money is low we still weren't going to give each other presents we were just going to go to Red Lobster (it is a tradition) and the movies, but I guess Dean and I have the same mind because we both felt bad about not giving each other ANYTHING because Anniversaries are a BIG deal. So I went to the bank on Monday and came home to the flowers below. One of the reasons I went to the bank was to deposit something but the main reason was so I could pick some cash to give to Dean as a present. I think we were both happily surprised at least I know I was.

I love Dean so much and have LOVED the Last 2 Years of marriage, and I look forward to the ETERNITY to come. Dean is amazing. I fall in love with him more and more everyday! I didn't believe people when I got married and they said I would love him even more as time went on But it is true! I feel my love for him growing more and more and deeper and deeper. I love him SO much, he is my everything!

Our Adventures Lately

Well Dean and I have been up to a TON lately and it doesn't look like it going to slow down till about June! This last month Dean and I have been able to do a lot of fun things with friends whom we love and are going to miss when we leave the area. So let me tell you about this last month and then I will tell you about things to come in the future! Well for starters I have not been snowboarding since I was in seventh grade and have been wanting to go for a really long time but knew it wasn't exactly cheap. So I finally got to go and Dean taught me a ton! He said and I would have to agree I didn't do too bad. I rarely fell down till Dean started to try and teach me to go from my toes to hills or the other way around. If I could stay on my hills I did great, but if you have snowboarded much you know that your quads start to KILL you after doing this for awhile! I do have to say it was SO fun though and I can't wait to go in the future Dean and I want it to become a family sport and get season passes.

This is a picture of Dean and I at the end of the night still smiling!

These were the friends that were able to come with us and I REALLY appreciate their patience with me. I know I took a bit longer to get down the hill.

More Pictures with the friends Brian, Daniel, Mellissa, Dean and I

The day after we went Snowboarding Dean took me fly fishing for my first time with his friend Jim. Jim moved the next day to Hawaii so it was our last chance to go. IT WAS FREEZING! March 5th 2011 but it was a lot of fun too. Dean and Jim were troopers they fished the whole time and never got cold. I fished about three-fourths of it and then sat down by the propane heater.

This is Dean catching the first fish of the day!

Dean's fish. He was happy! Look at that smile!

My first fish for the day!

This is the same fish as above but the boys said I covered the fish up too much in the previous picture. We had a great time fishing! Thank you Jim! After fishing we went to Big Judds and had a yummy meal!

The next weekend we went to Yellowstone with Dean's friends from high school and the wives! It was so much fun! We played games, ate way too much food, most of the boys went snowboarding at big sky, the girls stayed back and shopped and played at the hotel and in the pool. It was so much fun and so relaxing we truly loved the trip.

I forget to take a picture when Daniel and Mellissa were still there they couldn't stay the whole time sorry your not in the pictures guys!

So in the picture below are the remaining boys Teegan, Tyrel, Brian, Nick, Dean and Brent. I have to say it is pretty enjoyable to watch these boys. When they get together they still act like they are in high school.

These are the wives Shanna, Cynthia (me), and Shaune lucky for us our husband picked wonderful wives and we all get along great and like hangout even if the boys aren't there. We are sad Mellisa isn't in the picture and that Tiffany wasn't able to come because of work. They just add to the party. I love all the wives!
Thanks everyone for making it such a fun trip. I have to say I regret not getting the camera out when we played curses I HAVE NOT LAUGHED that hard for a VERY long time!

This is a picture of Brent right after he KILLED us all at Texas Hold em. Don't worry we played with cheerios!

These last two picture are of my sweetheart and I at Yellowstone! I LOVE spending time with him. When he is around he ALWAYS puts a smile on my face.

I guess I am getting bad at remembering to take pictures because the next weekend we went back up to Yellowstone with some friends in our ward the Heward's and hung out with them for the weekend! It was SOOOO relaxing and just what Dean and I needed. We had fun watching movies, swimming, eating, playing games, and relaxing! Thank you Victoria, Adam, and Alexis for a great weekend!

Well even though life has been busy I have really enjoyed it! and even though I know it wont slow down till June I am ok with it because the things that we will be doing between now and then are going to be so much fun! Our plans till June... Dean Graduates from BYU - Idaho, We have two sealings to go to, my brother has his mission farewell and he leaves for Texas, Dean and I celebrate our two year anniversary (for this we are going to Arizona to find an apartment and then to California for a week to do the Southern California City Pass), and last we move to Blackfoot. Busy I know but so much fun at the same time! I will try and be good and post about the adventures when they happen but if not I will write all about it in June!

Valentines Day

Well this time of year is a special for Dean and I, because Dean two years ago this time of year purposed to me with Valentine conversation hearts that said "Marry Me" Valentines Day has to be one of my favorite holidays! Dean had to work on Valentines Day so I got up with him to say good morning also because, I had a whole day of work planned for his big surprise! As I was cleaning the house getting ready there was a knock on my door, I opened it, and on the door step were the flowers below. They came in the mail and when I first looked at them they looked pretty lifeless and I was nervous for Dean to see them because he was going to feel bad that they didn't look awesome. But then I found some instructions on how to care for them so I followed the directions and with in a hour below is what they looked like.

They were beautiful! They even came with a little box of Chocolates I thought they were cute. The box said they would last a week and today is one week later and most of the flowers still look pretty good! I have to say I was very impressed!
After the house was cleaned I put Dean's present together it was a basket of goodies and a pair of Basketball shoes. He LOVED it. and I was SO happy!

This is what Dean saw when he walked in.

I also made Dean Dinner his favorite, Mexican food! This was the dinner table for the night.

For Dinner we had Rice, Beans, and enchiladas. The rice was my favorite it tasted JUST like a resturants.

It was a wonderful Valentines Day, I am SO lucky to have Dean in my life. He is SO good to me and I ALWAYS look forward to the time we get to spend together. Below are ten things I love about Dean. A WeeKEnd get away!

Well I have been missing Dean like crazy lately and it seemed like with work, school, and other things that occupy our lives we hadn't spent much alone time together. The holidays were great and we saw each other a lot but we were never alone. So I asked Dean to plan a weekend get away, because he had Monday off of school. This is what he came up with! He used our time share and we were able to stay in West Yellowstone! SOOO much fun! The first few pictures are of the place we stayed. It was wounderful, not pictured was the swimming pool, spa, game room, and exercise room!
This is the whole resort.

Below is our bedroom.

This is the Kitchen in our room so we could save money and not eat out All of the time!

And this we our living room with the fire place! Loved it! and the view was so pretty especially in the morning.

Dean surprised me and took me snow shoeing it was a ton of fun but a lot more work then I thought. I was so hot and sweating, and my hip flexors were killing me when we got back, but I loved the work out. This was where the trail ended for snow shoeing it was beautiful.

So glad we went.

This was at the main entrance at the resort. I thought it was cool so we took a picture.

We ate out twice while we were there, we each got to pick a place. We ate at the Wild West Pizza. (IT WAS SOOOO GOOD!)
My favorite meal to eat out is Breakfast so this morning we went to trappers. It was pretty good also.
Below is a couple of pictures of us at trappers.

Since January is almost over I decided I should write down the goals I want to do this year.

Spiritual
1. Read all of the standard works. (it is only 7 pages a day)
2.Go to the temple every other week.
3.Search for more ways to serve people
4.Learn more about Christ
5.Continue to have nightly scripture study with Dean

Physical

1.Work out at least 4 times a week
2.Better obey my biggest loser diet.

Personal
1. Write in my journal daily, including things I am grateful that Dean does for me and how I have seen the Lords hand that day.
2. For every discouraged thought I have. Trade it with a positive one.
3. Blog at least monthly
4. Go through and organize my whole apartment
5. Put all my pictures in a photo album and write what they are, then scrapbook all digital ones online
6. Continue to go on a weekly date with Dean!

Here is to a great year!
